So I wanted to talk to you about all the things you can do to make yourself feel awesome! More often than not, when you’re feeling down, having a bad mental health day, not feeling 100% and all in all are in a bad place, then your doctors, magazines, friends, family will give you tips on self care. Number 1 tip – EXERCISE. Now if you can exercise, do it, it honestly will make you feel heaps better. But, if like me, you have episodes where something gets in the way that you have zero control over i.e. a chronic illness, then there are plenty of other things you can do to improve your mood. Its just finding the right balance!

Ok so to be honest, not much has happened since we last spoke, but I thought it was worth me doing a catch up post! Here are a few things that have happened since my last post…
- It’s been firework night! Luna was very well behaved and didn’t get spooked at all. Very proud of her!
- I’ve been playing with lots of makeup! I’ll show you some looks when I get a bit more confident with my face.
- Jack and I tidied the whole house. It’s super clean. It’s so beautiful.
- I went and worked at my old restaurant for a Saturday shift. That was fun, although I’m glad its not my full time job anymore.
- I’ve kept to my promise and not had any alcohol since 1st November. Go me!
I’ve got a couple of posts in the works, and am taking the time off work tomorrow for a tooth extraction (eek!) so I will have plenty of time to get some posts out to you all tomorrow! Until then, be good!
Ok so now its time for me to write a post I really don’t want to write, but think I better had. Its more of a pledge, if you will! In the recent months, I’ve discovered my hangovers are getting worse (2 day long at best), my endometriosis has been playing up and my mental health has been all over the place. I’ve also recently started passing out when I’ve drunk ‘too much’, but ‘too much’ is no where near the amount I could drink when I was 18 or 21. I am also constantly fueled by ‘the beer fear’ – that irrational fear you get the day after a heavy night out when you are unsure of who you saw or what you said to people, although its normally nothing at all.
Now I love a good wine, a pint of cider or a bottle of beer. I’m not too keen on spirits but a cocktail is always good. But for November, I’m deciding to give it all a miss. The intention is to have a completely clean month, and take a long hard look at the amount I can and should consume. Its not that I have a problem, I don’t drink every day or anything, and I could quite easily have a night out without booze. But I just feel for my own personal well-being, it’d be a really interesting experiment. Who knows? I might end up straight edge!
Any non-alcoholic drinks you can recommend me, send them my way!
So over the weekend, my family and I decided to head to Bristol and have a go at City Mazes. The idea is that you are locked in a room, and have to try to find your way out by completing a series of tasks over the space of 60 minutes. I got too caught up in the excitement to take pictures, and obviously I don’t want to ruin it for anyone else in the future, but here is a brief overview!

So the weekend just gone, my dad came to visit us. We decided to go out for a meal as it had been my birthday since we’d last seen each other. I’ve been dying to try The Ox (sorry veggie/vegan friends!) so we booked a late table and headed there for 9:30pm. The inside was absolutely beautiful. You had to go down into the basement for access to the restaurant, but that didn’t hinder the place at all. In fact, it added to the atmosphere. I’ve wanted to blog about this for a while, but was never sure on the words. I know that the world, especially the internet, can be a super dangerous place. There are all sorts of unsavory people lurking out there, and quite often, you hear horror stories regarding unsuspecting internet users being sucked into a dark world, and kidnapped or attacked or groomed. So today I feel I need to focus on a feeling I have more than semi regularly; the feeling that I don’t know where I’m going in my life! Well realistically, I’m just going forward, we all are. But sometimes it does feel like you’re stuck too much in a rut, or are going completely off course. This can be a difficult feeling to handle, especially when you’re nearing a deadline, or are feeling building pressure from outside sources, but it is manageable.
