So over the weekend, my family and I decided to head to Bristol and have a go at City Mazes. The idea is that you are locked in a room, and have to try to find your way out by completing a series of tasks over the space of 60 minutes. I got too caught up in the excitement to take pictures, and obviously I don’t want to ruin it for anyone else in the future, but here is a brief overview!

So the weekend just gone, my dad came to visit us. We decided to go out for a meal as it had been my birthday since we’d last seen each other. I’ve been dying to try The Ox (sorry veggie/vegan friends!) so we booked a late table and headed there for 9:30pm. The inside was absolutely beautiful. You had to go down into the basement for access to the restaurant, but that didn’t hinder the place at all. In fact, it added to the atmosphere. Perfect lighting and the decor was eclectic and slightly ‘drinking den’. I loved it!Read More »
I’ve wanted to blog about this for a while, but was never sure on the words. I know that the world, especially the internet, can be a super dangerous place. There are all sorts of unsavory people lurking out there, and quite often, you hear horror stories regarding unsuspecting internet users being sucked into a dark world, and kidnapped or attacked or groomed. Well, I’m not disputing these things happen. But what I need to talk about is how wonderful the internet has been for me.

So today I feel I need to focus on a feeling I have more than semi regularly; the feeling that I don’t know where I’m going in my life! Well realistically, I’m just going forward, we all are. But sometimes it does feel like you’re stuck too much in a rut, or are going completely off course. This can be a difficult feeling to handle, especially when you’re nearing a deadline, or are feeling building pressure from outside sources, but it is manageable.

So today I want to talk about that awful situation…the one where you have to say ‘no’ to someone you really don’t want to let down. Unfortunately, sometimes we have to stand up for ourselves and let down someone that might be relying on you. Whether you let them down for selfish reasons, or for unavoidable reasons, it really does suck either way.Read More »
Ok so now I’ve turned 27, I need to stop believing I’m just ‘mid-twenties’, but in fact, approaching my late twenties *hides under a blanket*. When I was 18, all shiny and new in the world of ‘real life’, I seriously thought that I would have myself sorted by now. I’d know where I was going, what I was doing, I’d be married or at least engaged, maybe even planing children. I’d have travelled the world, experienced all kinds of wild and wonderful things. I’d be able to poach an egg. WELL 18-year-old me, how wrong you were… Read More »
What’s up guys?
So here it is, my first outfit of the day (OOTD) post. Bare (bear?) with me, there’s a first time for everything! No I’m not going to pretend I’m super fashionable, and know all there is to know about style, who the newest model is or the importance of contouring, but I like to think I know what suits me personally. So I plan on bringing you some bits and bobs from the high street, as well as online bargains and of course, how I style my Black Milk. So…without further ado…Read More »

This evening I went along to an event at the Cheltenham Comedy Festival. It was hosted by Sarah Millican, along with a panel of other female comedians (or just comedians – ya know, i’m all for equal rights!) along with the editor of Standard Issue Magazine, Mickey Noonan.
Now I’d never heard of Standard Issue Magazine before tonight. In fact my mum just got us tickets because we both love Sarah Millican. But boy, did I love the show!Read More »
